Mar 19 – Snuba Trip with Captain Christian and The crew of Snuba Costa Rica
What Snuba???
SNUBA is the safest dive activity offered in the world, with over 6 million tours conducted in the past 25 years at over 70 locations worldwide. SNUBA’s unparalleled safety record makes it one of the fastest growing water activities available today. SNUBA is the mix of snorkeling and scuba diving. SNUBA is not only the safest, but also most convenient way to experience diving. Convenient in the way that you are not required having any form of dive license. You can participate in SNUBA with absolutely no previous dive experience. In fact, SNUBA is so safe and simple to do, you don’t even need previous snorkel experience.
The mix of snorkeling and scuba diving is what makes SNUBA so unique. A standard scuba diving air tank is placed in a floating raft. Then, we connect a 20ft. pressurized dive hose with a dive regulator to the air tank. The dive regulator is connected to the diver with a harness that buckles around the chest and back of the diver. The diver is given a mask, fins, and a comfortable padded weight belt to assist in proper buoyancy. After a short safety briefing, you are now entering the beautiful and exciting world of diving. With SNUBA, you become half-human, half-fish in a matter of minutes.
All SNUBA tours are conducted with a trained and certified professional SNUBA Guide. Because you are connected by a harness to a floating air tank, your maximum depth in the water is 20 feet (7 meters). This is another factor when considering the safety of SNUBA. At this depth, you remain in a low-pressure dive limit known as 1 BAR of pressure. With all of this combined, SNUBA has become one of the most fun and safe activities in the tourism industry.
